Workers leaning against a deli store

desperately seek the pickup truck



Absurdly, ole Richie come to chat to them

forgetting the cigarette of candy store




What makes them so cheerful,

knowing someone nearby frozen dead



Even one hour past.

under snow
Time to stand upright

to see the contour



The lovely ponds
got iced over
Allow things to hide
for coming spring



Singing carols together
on Christmas break
Pray to stop blaming each other
to hail the needy



Silent year-end season
like father's return
Repent of all our sins
to be born again
